Use and Care of Barrettes

The twist-locking feature holds thick or thin hair equally well.  Our barrettes are not only beautiful, but they are also highly functional.

 Our barrettes are handmade with quality, natural materials, not coated, plated, or treated in any way, so they will need to be polished from time to time.

How to care for your barrettes:

Clean with a good polish (usually best to use silver polish for silver and brass polish for bronze) as needed.  Just follow product directions.  Always use a clean, soft cloth.  A jewelry polishing cloth can be used for maintenance between more thorough cleanings.  If you keep them dry and store them in a Ziploc plastic bag, it will slow down the tarnishing significantly.
