Sun and Heron Sign Bracket

This dramatic signage was created for a unique gift shop in a marshland area, called "The Sun Porch."  It featured antiques and local, quality handcrafts. The heron's body was formed from sheets of hammered and shaped stainless steel. His beak was cast in red bronze and his legs were made from wrought copper. The sun burst was a highly polished manganese bronze double-sided relief placed in a stainless steel hoop which also secured the polished spires. The outer band of leaves was cast in silicon Bronze and received a green patina treatment. The elements were supported by a wrought iron bracket. 

The sign was so effective in attracting attention it caused traffic problems in the town from tourists stopping to take pictures of it!
